Overview: 

Entrepreneurship is a multidimensional study which encompasses many disciplines. From an economic standpoint, entrepreneurship is about identification of opportunities and exploitation of these opportunities for financial gains. Behavioural aspect of entrepreneurship is concern about entrepreneur’s traits and motivation while social aspects account for the social and cultural influence on entrepreneurship activities. Entrepreneurship management encompasses the process of opportunities identification and evaluation of these opportunities, innovation process of turning the business idea into tangible product or service that creates value. The management process also highlights the process in new business preparation, evaluation, implementation and sustaining the new business venture.

The course is intended for aspiring entrepreneurs with strong desire of going into business in the future. The content will help them to understand the context involved in starting a new business. The process conceptual framework will be useful for them to design the implementation plan and the important considerations on how best they can manage the entrepreneurial process. There are contingencies in the implementation approach and multiple frameworks proposed in this course will help the intended entrepreneurs in designing the process through the adoption of these concepts or to modify and integrate the different concepts in order to achieve higher success.
