This course provides a study of the principal theories of motivation and emotion. It examines human needs, cognition, and social aspects of motivation. This course also includes a critical review of research and application of these theories to human behaviour. Topics include eating, aggression and retaliation, sensation-seeking, creativity, achievement motivation, affiliation, possible selves, self-regulation of behaviour, and coping with stress.
